Cape League's Revised 2021 Schedule Released

Cape League's Revised 2021 Schedule Released

Today the Cape League released its revised 2021 schedule to fit the new constraints of the late starting season.

According to Cape League Director of Communications John Garner, who posted on Facebook, this season will have “No doubleheaders, extra innings of makeup games. No All-Star Game or Fenway Scouts trip. Playoffs include four teams, two best 2 out-of-3 series starting Aug. 6.”

The 2021 season was supposed to include Thursdays as league-wide off days, but on this schedule, there are three Thursdays, July 1st, 8th, and 15th, where games are currently scheduled. However, the teams scheduled on these dates have at least one off day scheduled on the preceding Tuesday or Wednesday, meaning that by my count, no team will play more than eight days in a row at any given time throughout the season.

The 2021 Cape League Season will consist of 40 games and will start on June 20th.

The full schedule can be viewed here.
