Robert Stock (USC) hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the first run of the night to drive in Dallas Poulk (NC State) in the 7th. Poulk was hit by a pitch and advanced to third on a throwing error by Harwich starter Chris Manno (Duke). Manno was taken out soon thereafter, after going 6 2/3 innings with 9 strikeouts (104 pitches total). Willie Kempf (Baylor, pictured below) is the first relief pitcher for Harwich. He got Harwich out of trouble with a strikeout to end the top of the 7th.
